Who AM I???
My name is Steven Jackson, and I’m just a fella from Missouri with a burning passion for all things hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. If there’s a season for it in Missouri, chances are I’ve hunted or fished for it. I graduated from Missouri State University-Springfield in 2015 with a bachelor degree in Wildlife Conservation & Management with an Agronomy minor. I have worked in the fields (both figuratively and literally) of wildlife conservation and agriculture. I have had many memorable experiences in the pursuit of wild game. Every bit as memorable are the stories that attach themselves to those experiences, and I want to share the stories with the world. I intend for these stories to be equal parts entertaining, informational, and educational in a way that the reader can envision listening to them around the fire at deer camp, in the duck blind, or on the banks of small stream with pole in hand.
A couple of years ago I wrote the above article for a page that reached out to me on Instagram, and that article has since been published in a book from that same page titled, The Best of Tygus.shooting Volume 1. The relative success of that publication has inspired me to try my hand at doing more writing about my passion for the outdoors to perhaps approach the world of hunting and fishing from a fresh angle.
